Farmers in the southern region of Huila call this variety Aji due to the exceptional aroma and flavour of its cherries, reminiscent of a small chilli pepper. Genetic analysis reveals that Aji is actually an Ethiopian heirloom variety. This micro-lot of coffee offers fruity sweetness with layers of strawberry, honeyed notes of rooibos, and a floral background.
